General education\. Your clinicians explain your individual findings, options and directions\.

## What is each kind of care for?

Monitoring observes change; professional adjustment or replacement addresses the retainer\. A new active course may use braces or aligners for individually assessed movement goals\. Limited treatment has selected goals; more comprehensive treatment has a wider assessed scope\.

[AAO retainer\-fit guidance](<https://aaoinfo.org/whats-trending/my-retainer-feels-tight-can-i-still-wear-it/>)

Your own priority might be an explanation of a concern, a goal you want to revisit or an existing proposal you want clarified\. You do not need to turn an appliance name into a decision before that discussion\.

## Connect the proposal with your goal

At SMILE\-FX®, board\-certified orthodontists see patients at assessment and follow\-ups\. A doctor\-led explanation gives you a responsible person to discuss the proposed goal and services with\. Digital planning and smile\-preview simulations can give that conversation a concrete reference; the preview illustrates intention and is not a promised outcome\.

You can explain what matters to you and decide whether you want to consider the proposal\. If you already have a plan and want help organizing that conversation, the [existing\-plan guide](<https://orthodonticsecondopinionbroward.com/questions-about-an-existing-plan>) has a separate role\.

## What is the holding stage for?

After active movement, retention helps hold tooth positions\. Your orthodontist sets the retainer type and individual arrangements\.

[AAO retention guidance](<https://aaoinfo.org/whats-trending/will-i-need-to-wear-retainers/>)

The [retainer\-design guide](<https://retainersmiramar.com/retainer-designs-and-purpose>) develops the holding\-appliance topic\. Keep that companion available if it is the question you want to explore next\.

## Understand the services being offered

SMILE\-FX® lists orthodontic retreatment within its published service range\. A new\-care conversation establishes whether the practice can accept your case and what it proposes\. Standard smartphone monitoring gives progress information a route to clinical review alongside required visits\.

The practice's included\-retainer offering belongs in the full treatment conversation and written proposal\. It does not establish a free repeat course or unlimited replacements\. [Read the care model and its individual arrangements](</about-this-guide#care-model-about>) \.

For a new\-care inquiry, the [Miramar visit page](</visit>) gives the optional in\-person request and actual studio details\.
