Monitoring observes change; professional adjustment or replacement addresses the retainer. A new active course may use braces or aligners for individually assessed movement goals. Limited treatment has selected goals; more comprehensive treatment has a wider assessed scope.
Your own priority might be an explanation of a concern, a goal you want to revisit or an existing proposal you want clarified. You do not need to turn an appliance name into a decision before that discussion.
